ShorePort Pipe-Anchoring Component

Add a Rear Pipe Guide to a ShorePort Installation

A color-matched clamp-on bracket that attaches to the rear ShorePort channels and guides a 2-inch Schedule 40 steel pipe for added stability in approved anchoring layouts.

Rear Location Only2 in. Schedule 40 PipeGray or TanHardware Included

The ShorePort Rear Pipe Bracket adds a pipe-guide connection at the rear of a ShorePort for installations that require more restraint than a flexible hinge alone. The two-piece bracket assembly clamps into the molded rear channels of the port and includes a wear plate sized for commonly used 2-inch Schedule 40 steel pipe. It is typically used as one component within a complete front-and-rear pipe or stand-off anchoring plan.

What the Rear Pipe Bracket Adds

01

Rear-Position Stability

Controls movement at the rear of the ShorePort when paired with the approved front connection and anchoring layout.

02

Molded-Channel Attachment

The bracket halves align with the rear vertical channels of the ShorePort and clamp around the port with supplied hardware.

03

Pipe-Guide Wear Plate

An integrated wear plate helps guide the anchoring pipe while limiting direct contact with the polyethylene port body.

04

Gray or Tan Finish

Select the color that coordinates with the Gray or Tan ShorePort and other color-specific installation components.

Use the Rear Bracket as Part of a Complete Layout

A rear pipe bracket adds stability but does not independently anchor a ShorePort. The front connection, number of pipes, water depth, bottom conditions, dock construction and wave exposure all affect the correct design.

Do not overtighten the clamp hardware against the polyethylene ShorePort. Follow the official installation sequence and recheck fasteners periodically.

When Is a Pipe System Preferred?

Pipe and stand-off anchoring is commonly used for greater restraint in rougher water, heavy traffic or multi-port layouts where a Flexi-Hinge alone is not appropriate.

A calm-water front-mounted ShorePort may instead use the standard paired Flexi-Hinge connection when site conditions allow.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does one order include a pair of rear brackets?

One order includes one complete clamp-style rear pipe-bracket assembly made from two bracket halves and the required assembly hardware.

What size pipe does the bracket use?

It is designed around 2-inch Schedule 40 steel pipe, which has an outside diameter of approximately 2-3/8 inches. The pipe is sold separately.

Can I use this bracket at the front of the ShorePort?

No. The rear bracket fits the designated rear channels. Use the approved large/front pipe bracket or other specified connector at the front.

Is the rear bracket required with a Flexi-Hinge?

It can be added for stability in some front-mounted installations, but the complete layout depends on water conditions and ShoreMaster instructions. Rougher water may require a full pipe/stand-off system instead of a Flexi-Hinge connection.

Which color should I choose?

Select Gray for a Gray ShorePort or Tan for a Tan ShorePort. The color selection also determines the corresponding product part number.
