Adjustable Dock-to-Shore Stair System

Create a More Comfortable Path Across Slopes and Uneven Shorelines

ShoreMaster Pivoting QuickSteps combine wide aluminum treads, included handrails and adjustable support legs in a stair system that can follow the terrain or expand into a longer custom run.

4- or 6-Step OptionsPivoting Terrain FitHandrails IncludedExpandable System

The ShoreMaster Pivoting QuickSteps with Handrail are designed for waterfront approaches where a fixed, level staircase does not match the shoreline. The stair sections pivot to follow sloped or uneven ground, while four adjustable legs with foot pads help support the assembly at the chosen angle. Use one section for a shorter dock-to-shore transition, or connect multiple 4- and 6-step sections to build a longer stairway.

A Flexible Stair Solution for the Waterfront

01

Adapts to the Terrain

The pivoting stair design lets the treads settle into a comfortable climbing angle across slopes, banks and uneven shoreline approaches.

02

Comfortable, Full-Width Access

A 33.75-inch stair opening, 41-inch overall width and 7.125-inch tread depth create a more stair-like path than a compact dock ladder.

03

Build the Length You Need

Mix 4- and 6-step sections and use one Quick Steps Connection Kit at each joint to extend the system for longer banks.

04

Built for Waterfront Use

All-aluminum construction, included handrails and adjustable support legs are designed for durable seasonal use near the water.

Plan the Complete QuickSteps System

Start by measuring the full path from the upper landing to the lower landing. Then select the stair sections, dock connector and splice kits needed for that layout.

One Stair Section

Choose 4 Steps or 6 Steps

  • Best for a single transition where one section reaches both landing points.
  • ShoreMaster planning guidance uses about 4 ft. of stair length for a 4-step section and about 6 ft. for a 6-step section.
  • Final fit depends on the slope, landing height and leg adjustment.

Extended Stair Run

Combine Multiple Sections

  • Use any combination of 4- and 6-step QuickSteps sections.
  • Order one Quick Steps Connection Kit for every joint between two sections.
  • Each splice connection adds approximately 1 ft. to the assembled stair length.

Dock Connection

Select the Correct Bracket

  • A ShoreMaster dock installation requires one Quick Steps Bracket selected for RS4, RS7 or TS9/FTS9.
  • A universal bolt-on bracket is available for many non-ShoreMaster dock structures.
  • Standalone landscape use still requires a stable, properly supported installation.

What Comes with Each QuickSteps Section

Included with the Selected 4- or 6-Step Assembly

  • Aluminum stair treads and side-frame components
  • Two handrails with upright supports
  • Four adjustable legs and four foot pads
  • Assembly hardware for the selected stair section

Plan to Order Separately When Needed

  • Quick Steps Bracket for connection to a dock
  • Quick Steps Connection Kit for each joint between stair sections
  • Additional stair sections for longer banks
  • Site preparation, anchoring or installer-selected hardware required by the shoreline

Measure the Route and Support Every Section

Measure between the actual upper and lower landing points, not only the vertical drop. Account for seasonal water changes, shoreline erosion and the space required for a stable landing at both ends.

Place every foot pad on firm support, adjust the treads to a comfortable angle and tighten all hardware according to the ShoreMaster instructions. A long stair run may require dealer or installer review before ordering.

Need Water Access Instead of a Shoreline Stairway?

Choose Pivoting QuickSteps for a wide, handrail-equipped route over a bank, slope or long dock-to-shore transition.

For direct access from the dock deck down to the lake bottom, consider Dock Steps with Handrail. For a more compact swimmer entry point, consider the Pivoting Dock Ladder.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I connect more than two sets of QuickSteps?

Yes. ShoreMaster QuickSteps can be extended with additional 4- or 6-step sections. Order one connection kit for each joint: two sections need one kit, three sections need two kits and four sections need three kits.

Is the dock connection bracket included?

No. If the steps will attach to a dock, order one Quick Steps Bracket that matches the dock system. The RS4, RS7, TS9/FTS9 and universal bolt-on versions are different.

Can the steps be used on uneven ground?

The pivoting sections and adjustable legs are intended to accommodate sloped and uneven terrain. Every foot pad still needs firm support, and the completed stairway must be installed according to the official instructions.

How do I choose between the 4-step and 6-step versions?

Measure the full stair route and consider the desired climbing angle. The 4-step section is suited to shorter transitions, while the 6-step section covers a longer run. Sections can be mixed when one size is not enough.

Can QuickSteps be used without attaching them to a dock?

They can be used in certain standalone landscaping applications, but the assembly must have stable upper and lower landings and properly supported legs. Confirm the installation plan before ordering.
