The Bolt-On Pivoting Dock Ladder is designed for dock structures that can accept a direct, securely fastened ladder mount. Its all-aluminum frame provides compact swimmer access, while the pivot brackets allow the ladder to be moved out of the water when it is not in use. Depending on the assembly position shown in the ShoreMaster instructions, the ladder can pivot upright or fold horizontally across the dock surface.
A Permanent Mount with Pivoting Convenience
Direct-to-Dock Connection
The left and right pivot brackets mount to a structurally appropriate dock rather than relying on ShoreMaster InfinityTrack accessory brackets.
Two Storage Orientations
The mounting-hole position determines whether the ladder pivots vertically or folds horizontally across the dock, subject to available clearance.
Three Length Choices
Select 3, 4 or 5 steps to suit the dock height, water level and preferred reach below the surface.
Durable Aluminum Assembly
Aluminum frames and treads resist rust and keep the ladder manageable for seasonal installation and removal.
Model Options
Before You Drill or Bolt the Ladder to the Dock
- Confirm the dock structure. The mounting surface and framing must be capable of supporting the ladder and users without flexing or pulling away.
- Choose the storage direction. Review the official instructions before assembly so the pivot holes are configured for vertical or horizontal storage.
- Check clearance. Leave room for the handrails, ladder swing and boat traffic in both the usable and stored positions.
- Select site-specific attachment hardware. Confirm whether additional fasteners, backing plates or reinforcement are required for the dock construction.

This Is Not the InfinityTrack Ladder
The bolt-on ladder uses side-specific pivot brackets 1001778 and 1001779. The ShoreMaster Pivoting Dock Ladder used with InfinityTrack or PolyDock connectors uses a different QuickConnect pivot system.
Do not mix the brackets or order this model based only on the number of steps. Choose the ladder by mounting method first, then select the step count.
Need a Repositionable Accessory-System Mount?
Choose the Bolt-On Pivoting Dock Ladder for a direct, permanent connection to a dock structure that can accept the mount.
Choose the standard Pivoting Dock Ladder when installing with ShoreMaster InfinityTrack brackets, a PolyDock Ladder Connector or compatible RhinoDock connectors.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does this ladder require InfinityTrack brackets?
No. This model is designed to bolt directly to a suitable dock structure and includes the left and right ladder pivot brackets.
Can the ladder pivot upright and across the dock?
The ShoreMaster instructions show two assembly positions. One allows vertical storage and the other allows the ladder to pivot horizontally across the dock. Select the position before final assembly and confirm clearance.
Are the left and right pivot brackets the same?
No. The bolt-on ladder uses a side-specific left bracket, part 1001778, and right bracket, part 1001779.
What should I use to attach the brackets to my dock?
Attachment requirements vary by dock material, frame design and access beneath the deck. Confirm appropriate fasteners and any required backing or reinforcement with a qualified installer.
Can I buy only one replacement pivot bracket?
Yes. The replacement bracket listing lets you select the left or right part individually. Verify the part number on the instructions or existing component before ordering.

Great ladder/Fast ship
Literally received the ladder in 2 days. Install is easy with clear directions and all parts. Ladder swings up onto dock when not there. Way easier to get out of the water with 5 rungs. Had the 3 rung before, hard if the water level is down to get out. Worth the extra $$ to get the longest one. Love the brand, it’s manufactured well.
