The ShoreMaster Pontoon Cradle kit creates a broad, adjustable support surface for a two-tube pontoon. Four bolt-on aluminum brackets attach to the front and rear lift rack beams. Each bracket carries two board contact points, allowing four 2 x 6 bunks to run front-to-back beneath the pontoon tubes. The board spacing can be adjusted across the rack to match the pontoon’s tube centers and provide even support.
Why Use a Pontoon Cradle Kit?
Four-Point Rack Attachment
Two brackets mount at the front of the rack and two at the rear to support long bunks on both sides of the pontoon.
Adjustable Tube Spacing
Slide the brackets across the rack before final tightening to align the bunks beneath the pontoon tubes.
Customer-Selected Bunk Surface
Use properly sized 2 x 6 boards and add the approved carpet or protective surface for the application.
Marine-Ready Hardware
Aluminum brackets and stainless-steel carriage bolts are designed for seasonal waterfront use.
What’s Included
- Four welded pontoon cradle brackets
- Rack-mounting bolts, washers and flange nuts
- Sixteen stainless-steel carriage bolts for attaching the boards
- Part Number 1007004
Not Included
- Four 2 x 6 bunk boards
- Carpet, vinyl or another approved board covering
- Boat lift or outer lift-rack components
- Center-tube support for a tritoon
Four 2 x 6 Boards Are Required
This kit supplies the aluminum brackets and mounting hardware, but the long bunk boards are not included. Use four properly selected 2 x 6 boards—two beneath each outside pontoon tube—and protect the watercraft from exposed fasteners.
Countersink the carriage-bolt heads into the boards and finish the bunk surface so no metal edge can contact the pontoon.
For Two-Tube and Three-Tube Boats
Standard Pontoon
Supports the Two Outside Tubes
- Use the four cradle brackets and four bunk boards as a complete two-tube support system.
- Measure tube center-to-center spacing before positioning the brackets.
- Balance the boat front-to-back so the lift carries the loaded weight correctly.
Tritoon
Add a Separate Center Support
- Pair the outer cradle system with the Tri-Toon Center Cradle when that part is approved for the lift model.
- The center cradle supports only the middle tube and is not a substitute for the outer pontoon cradles.
- Confirm capacity and bunk layout for the specific tritoon before installation.
Installation Notes
Attach the four brackets to the lift rack loosely, align the front and rear brackets, set the bunk spacing to the pontoon tube centers and then tighten the rack hardware.
After the boards are installed, load the boat carefully, confirm even contact and recheck lift level and bracket tightness before regular use.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many brackets come in the Pontoon Cradle kit?
The kit includes four cradle brackets: two for the front rack beam and two for the rear rack beam.
Are the wood bunks included?
No. Four 2 x 6 boards are required and must be sourced separately. Add an approved protective covering and countersink all carriage-bolt heads to prevent pontoon damage.
Is the bracket spacing adjustable?
Yes. The brackets can be positioned across the lift rack before final tightening so the bunks align with the pontoon tube spacing.
Can this kit support a tritoon by itself?
No. The four outer cradle brackets support the two outside tubes. A compatible center-tube cradle is also required for a tritoon application.
Will it fit any boat lift?
No. The bracket geometry and mounting hardware are intended for compatible lift racks. Verify the rack dimensions, lift model and loaded boat weight before ordering.

Pontoon cradle
This item came to my address when they said it would, it bolted right up to my lift and they work like they were designed to. I would buy these again if needed!
