24V Boat Lift Battery Charging Accessory

Keep a Two-Battery Lift System Maintained with Solar Power

This 20-watt solar charging kit mounts to the boat lift upright or winch post and supports a properly wired 24V system made from two 12V batteries connected in series.

The 24V Solar Panel with Mounting Kit provides maintenance charging for compatible battery-powered boat lift systems. It is designed for a two-battery 24V configuration and includes the panel plus mounting components used to position it high on the lift upright for useful sun exposure. Solar charging is especially helpful at waterfronts without convenient AC service, but battery condition, lift use, shade and seasonal sunlight all affect charging performance.

What the Solar Kit Adds

01

Off-Grid Maintenance Charging

Helps replenish normal battery use between lift cycles without running permanent AC power to the dock.

02

20-Watt Panel

The included panel is sized for a compatible 24V lift-battery maintenance charging application.

03

Winch-Post Mounting System

The mounting arm, cross-frame components and stainless gear clamps secure the panel to the lift upright.

04

Clean Wire Management

Included cable ties help route the panel leads away from sharp edges and moving parts.

What’s Included

  • One 20-watt solar panel
  • Mounting arm, cross frames, crossbar and center bracket
  • Two stainless-steel gear clamps plus panel-mounting fasteners
  • Cable ties and installation hardware
  • Part Number 1026098

Not Included

  • Two 12V marine batteries
  • Battery boxes or trays
  • Battery-to-battery jumper or quick-connect bridge unless already included elsewhere in your system
  • Boat lift motor or lift

This Kit Is for 24V Systems Only

A 24V lift setup normally uses two compatible 12V batteries wired in series. Follow the polarity diagram exactly: an incorrect connection can damage equipment and create an arc-flash or shock hazard.

Need the battery connection between the two batteries? Compare the ShoreMaster 24V jumper wire and the Connect-Ease bridge connector for your approved setup.

Installation & Placement Tips

Mount for Sun Exposure

High on the Lift Upright

  • Position the panel where it receives the most unobstructed daily sunlight.
  • Keep the mount from rubbing against the canopy frame or cover.
  • Tighten clamps and hardware securely, then recheck them periodically.

Protect the Wiring

Away from Moving Components

  • Secure the cord with the included cable ties.
  • Keep wires away from winch parts, cables, sharp edges and pinch points.
  • Inspect the panel, leads and battery terminals throughout the season.

Complete the 24V Battery Setup

The solar panel maintains the battery system; it does not include the batteries. Use two compatible marine batteries in good condition and follow the motor and battery manufacturers’ charging guidance.

A shaded site, frequent lift use or weak batteries may require periodic supplemental charging even when a solar panel is installed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can this panel charge a single 12V battery?

No. This listing is the 24V charging system and is intended for two 12V batteries wired in series. Use a compatible 12V charging product for a single-battery installation.

Does the kit include the batteries?

No. Batteries, battery trays and the inter-battery jumper are not included. Select marine batteries that meet the motor manufacturer’s requirements.

Will solar charging fully recharge dead batteries?

The panel is best used for maintenance charging between normal lift cycles. Charging speed depends on sunlight, battery capacity, battery condition and lift use. Severely discharged batteries may require an approved external charger.

Where does the solar panel mount?

The supplied arm and clamps are designed to attach high on the boat lift upright or winch post. Position it for sun exposure without allowing the mount or wiring to interfere with the canopy or moving lift components.

Can I use this with a 120V Lift Boss?

No. A 120V motor runs from AC power and does not use this 24V battery charging kit. This product is for a compatible battery-powered 24V lift system.
