LiftBoss Gen 5 Battery-Powered Motor

Add Direct-Drive Convenience Without Running AC Power to the Dock

Choose key-turn or wireless-remote operation for a compatible boat lift, then run the motor from a properly configured 12V or 24V marine-battery system with optional solar charging.

12V or 24V DCKey-Turn or Wireless RemoteOptional Solar ChargingMounting Kit Selected Separately

The 12/24V Lift Boss Boat Lift Motor replaces manual cranking with smooth direct-drive operation for compatible lift and winch systems. It is a practical choice when dockside AC service is unavailable or when you prefer a battery-powered setup. Select the control style that fits the way you use your waterfront, then confirm the correct mounting kit, battery configuration and lift capacity before ordering.

Why Choose the 12/24V Lift Boss?

01

Flexible Battery Power

Operate from a 12V marine deep-cycle battery or configure a 24V system using two 12V batteries wired in series according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

02

Two Control Options

Choose straightforward key-turn control or wireless-remote operation from a more convenient position near the boat or dock.

03

Direct-Drive Operation

The motor mounts at the winch using the correct lift-specific adapter, eliminating the need to crank the wheel by hand.

04

Built for Waterfront Use

Corrosion-resistant hardware and a hand-wired, quality-tested motor platform support dependable seasonal performance.

Choose Your Power Configuration

The motor can operate at either voltage, but the battery count, wiring and charging equipment must match the selected configuration.

12V Setup

One Properly Sized 12V Marine Battery

  • Simpler battery configuration with one marine deep-cycle battery.
  • A good fit for typical recreational use when maximum cycle speed is not the top priority.
  • Compatible battery tray and charging equipment are sold separately.

24V Setup

Two 12V Batteries Wired in Series

  • Provides faster lift operation than the same system run at 12V.
  • Requires two compatible batteries, a proper battery-to-battery jumper and correct 24V wiring.
  • Can be paired with the 24V Solar Panel with Mounting Kit.

Choose Your Control Style

Key-Turn

Simple On-Unit Control

  • Operate the lift from the key switch located on the motor.
  • Compatible key-turn units may accept the optional 15-foot corded pendant; confirm the accessory connector first.
  • Best for owners who prefer a physical control and do not need wireless operation.

Wireless Remote

Operate from the Boat or Dock

  • Includes the wireless-control configuration selected on the product page.
  • Supports compatible remote-operated accessories such as a canopy light when the controller has the proper light output.
  • A strong choice for frequent loading, launching and solo operation.

What’s Included

  • One 12/24V Lift Boss direct-drive motor in the selected control configuration
  • Control components for the selected model, such as keys or wireless-remote hardware
  • Battery connection wiring supplied with the motor configuration
  • Manufacturer operating and safety information

Not Included

  • Marine deep-cycle battery or batteries
  • Battery tray, 24V jumper or solar charging equipment
  • Boat lift, winch or lift-specific mounting kit unless added through the product options
  • Installation labor or electrical work

Confirm the Lift-Specific Mounting Kit Before Ordering

A Lift Boss motor is not a universal, hardware-free replacement. The correct adapter and torque arm depend on the lift brand, winch shaft and mounting geometry. Use the mounting-kit selector on this page only after confirming the exact lift and winch configuration.

For a compatible ShoreMaster Whisper Winch installation that needs the motor and ShoreMaster-specific hardware together, use the complete 12/24V ShoreMaster motor kit.

12/24V or 120V?

Choose 12/24V when battery power is more practical than running shore power to the lift, or when optional solar charging is important.

Choose 120V when a properly installed, GFCI-protected AC power source is already available at the waterfront and you do not want to maintain dockside batteries.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between operating at 12V and 24V?

Both configurations use the same type of battery-powered motor platform. A 12V setup uses one properly sized 12V marine battery. A 24V setup uses two 12V batteries wired in series and generally operates the lift faster. All wiring must follow the manufacturer’s diagram.

Does this motor include the mounting kit for my lift?

The base motor and control option are included. A lift-specific mounting kit may be selected separately on the product page when available. Confirm your lift brand, winch style and shaft specifications before choosing a kit.

Can I add solar charging?

Yes, a properly configured 12V or 24V battery system can use compatible solar charging equipment. The 24V solar kit is designed for a two-battery 24V installation.

Can a key-turn motor be converted by adding only a key fob?

No. A key fob alone does not convert a key-turn control box into a wireless system. Order the wireless-remote motor configuration when wireless operation is required, or verify the complete conversion components for an existing unit.

Will this motor fit every boat lift?

No. Motor fit depends on the lift capacity, winch type, shaft, clearance and mounting hardware. Confirm compatibility before installation, and never exceed the rated capacity of the boat lift or motor system.

Need Help Matching the Motor to Your Lift?

Have the lift brand, model, capacity, winch photos and shaft measurements available. Our waterfront product experts can help you narrow down the correct motor and mounting kit.
